This program introduces automotive service technicians to the safe handling procedures associated with battery electric and hybrid vehicle systems. Students will learn how to use personal protective equipment (PPE) associated with high voltage and demonstrate the use of category 3 meters, insulated hand tools, and equipment used with electric vehicles. Students will also learn to test and replace high-voltage batteries, battery modules, individual battery cells, and voltage relays.
